Founder of PodcastOne, Norman Pattiz

Norman Pattiz is an American broadcasting entrepreneur who founded radio networks Westwood One and Podcast One. With over four decades of experience in radio organization and selling, Westwood One is the largest radio network and provider to the Broadcast Industry while Podcast One is the leader in the national distribution of marketing and sales.

Norman Pattiz was appointed to serve for two regimes of the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), by President Clinton in 2000. He was later reappointed by President Bush in 2002. Apart from his broadcasting career, he has served as the President of Broadcast Education Association. He is a trustee of University of California since September 2001.

Edison Research dedicated to carrying on three separate studies in 2016 on behalf of Podcast One to examine the strength of podcast advertising for five national brands. The results showed that most podcast audiences were open to brand ideas and messages and they showed an interest in considering to purchase these brands advertised.

He has received numerous professional and civic awards including the Distinguished Education Service Award, The Freedom of Speech Award and several Broadcaster of the Year Awards. In November 2009, Norman Pattiz was honored by the National Radio Hall of Fame because of his contributions to the radio industry.
