Aspire to Inspire

Colcom Foundation prioritizes support for environmental protection. The Foundation supports organizations that aim to conserve endangered species, preserve natural ecosystems, and encourage sustainable living. The National Wildlife Federation, the Nature Conservancy, and the World Wildlife Fund have all received money from the Foundation. The Foundation understands the value of these groups in preserving a healthy world as they seek to conserve natural resources and ecosystems.

In recognition of the significance of food systems that support environmental sustainability, animal welfare, and human health, the Foundation also promotes sustainable agriculture.

The Rodale Institute and the Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems Funders are two examples of the sustainable agricultural practices advocacy groups that the Foundation sponsors. These groups strive to improve healthy food systems and lessen agriculture’s adverse environmental effects.

Immigration reform is the Foundation’s third area of financial focus. The Colcom Foundation acknowledges the significance of thorough immigration reform in the US. The Foundation supports groups like the National Immigration Forum and the American Immigration Council that strive to improve the lives of immigrants and refugees. These groups seek to strengthen the American immigration system and make it fairer and more reasonable.

The Foundation’s grantmaking procedure is very selective, emphasizing assisting groups that coincide with its financing priorities. Grant requests are only accepted by invitation; Colcom Foundation does not consider unsolicited submissions. Before applying for financing, organizations must send a letter of inquiry explaining their purpose, objectives, and how they fit with Colcom Foundation’s financial priorities. A detailed grant application will need to be submitted by the organization if the letter of inquiry is approved.
