Aspire to Inspire

Gino Pozzo is an Italian businessman and the managing director of AC Milan. His business interests are mainly in real estate and football. Gino Pozzo is a well-respected figure in the Italian industry with close connections to the Prime Minister.

Since 2014, he has been part of Watford FC’s board of directors. This appointment occurred after Pozzo saved Watford from possible closure following a 2012 takeover by Laurence Bassini that went bankrupt before it could implement its plans for the team. He is the son-in-law of former Hornets chairman, Sir Elton John.

Gino Pozzo took over Watford in 2012 before saving it from almost certain closure by investing £200 million into the club. This investment allowed Watford to start doing well as it could pay off its debts and bring high-caliber players such as Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney. He also gave coach Quique Sanchez Flores a contract extension for another two years, which shows his confidence in the coaching staff at Watford.

Since their promotion to Premier League in the 2015/2016 season, Watford FC has been an established team in the English Premier League. In the 2017/2018 season, Watford Football Club finished 13th and was thus relegated to the Championship, where it had won promotion in 2016. The management is looking to get back into the Premier League by making big signings and signing young talented players.

After he saved Watford from bankruptcy, Gino Pozzo led the club on a path of growth and sustainability by investing in it. The club has been able to build up a solid nucleus of players by recruiting talented young players such as Richarlison and purchasing experienced quality players like Jose Holebas. They have played in the Premier League for a long time. He also gave Quique Sanchez Flores a contract extension showing his confidence. The club has also recruited several former Arsenal players, such as Theo Walcott and Ben Foster, bringing experience and high-level skills to its ranks. See this page for more information.
