How Guilherme Paulus shifted from an IBM Intern to a CVC CEO

Guilherme Paulus story of starting from being an intern at IBM to owning a company at the age of 24 is quite interesting. Different from other investors who are stuck with their childhood dream, Paulus has always been willing to change his cause so long as it brought more profits. When he learned about the needs that needed to be satisfied in the hospitality and tourism industry he abandoned his job at IBM where he was a computer technician, and secured another one as a tour and travels salesman for a tour agency when he was still in his early 20s.

After a few years of working with the tour agency, he managed to create some strong connections with all professionals from all sectors of life some of which saw the potential he had and encouraged him to start his own company. He had never given a serious thought to the idea of starting his own company until he met Carlos Vicente Cerchiari who was the state deputy at the time. Paulus became serious about the idea of starting a company when his friend told him that he wanted to start a tourist agency in Santo Andre. Although Guilherme Paulus had no capital at the time, he went ahead and opened the CVC Company. After a few years of hard work and determination, CVC Company had grown and it is currently the largest tour operator in Latin America.
