Krishen Iyer is the owner and founder of Encinitas-based consulting company MAIS Consulting. MAIS Consulting helps importers and exporters mitigate the risks associated with new tariffs, goods and services tax (GST) and other trade barriers that can arise in today’s volatile global trading environment.
Krishen has spoken at conferences and seminars on global trade trends and issues. He also writes a popular blog on U.S.-India trade relations and their nexus with Indian politics. Krishen Iyer has been quoted on these subjects in numerous newspapers (The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, San Jose Mercury).
Also, Krishen Iyer has been featured in international magazines (The Economist, Business Week). He is also a senior fellow at the Center for Global Policy, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Washington DC and an adjunct member of the non-resident fellowship program of the Indian Institute of Foreign Affairs.
Krishen Iyer has degrees from Brown University (BA in Economics) and Harvard Business School (MBA), and two in law – one in environmental regulation and the other in Indian law (Pinterest).
Krishen Iyer goes far beyond his successful career. He is a member of the American Law Institute and the International Association for Administrative Law. Krishen lives with his wife and two young daughters in Encinitas, California. He is considered a highly-regarded public speaker who has been requested to speak at several events in recent years by many distinguished individuals.
