Robert Kraft is a billionaire businessman from New England, USA.

He was the founder and chairman of International Forest Products, Inc., which became one of the largest paper manufacturing businesses in the world.

In 2011 Robert Kraft cofounded a new sports team called the New England Patriots. His net worth is estimated to be about $2.4 billion U.S. dollars, making him the 383rd richest person in the world.

Born in Brookline, Massachusetts, Robert Kraft is the son of Polish Jewish immigrants. He has a younger brother and sister and attended Brookline High School. He attended Michigan State University for a year, but then dropped out to join the army. After serving for three years he went back to school at Boston University where he got his bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1965 and his MBA in 1966.

Later on, he joined the family company: Essex Paper Mill, which manufactured newspaper internationaly. He became a partner in the business and then took over as CEO in 1979. He spent over a decade expanding its operations and laying the groundwork for its international expansion. “I knew it was right,” he says of his decision to start International Forest Products, Inc., the paper mill that became one of the world’s largest manufacturers of newsprint. The company went public in 1989 and Mr. Kraft founded IFP with just $500,000 in borrowed money.

He is the husband of Myra Kraft and the chairman and CEO of The Kraft Group which is worth $2.6 billion. The $2.6 billion makes him one of the richest people in New England, USA. The Kraft Group is a holding company for businesses ranging from sports teams to paper manufacturing companies. According to Forbes, Robert Kraft has at least 3 mansions, with a total worth of over $60 million U.S. dollars in exclusive gated communities in Massachusetts, USA.

He has also been involved in an anti-Donald Trump movement. He recently donated $1 million to the anti-Trump ‘super PAC’. He is said to be one of the most likely people to run as a Democratic candidate for president in 2020
