Aspire to Inspire

The UAE-based Immensa Group, the world’s leading strategic intelligence organization serving the energy, water, and telecommunications markets, has secured a $7 million series A round to expand its capabilities in the Middle East. Private equity firm Amman Capital Partners led the investment.

Immensa will use this financing to grow its presence in key geographic markets and provide continued access to leading-edge intelligence products. Led by co-founders Dr. Tom Whitehead and Dr. Christine Whitehead, Immensa has built a reputation for providing the most comprehensive data and analysis of the energy and water sector.

Over the past decade, it has grown from an intelligence provider with a local presence in Asia to a global business with offices in important energy centers, including India, Singapore, and Dubai. The company’s expansion will be led by an experienced management team that specializes in building successful market intelligence organizations worldwide.

It was founded in 2000 by Dr. Tom Whitehead and Dr. Christine Whitehead, who first met as classmates at the University of St Andrews, UK. The company is headquartered near London and has an international, regional presence in Singapore.

The company’s CEO, Tom Whitehead, says, “We are delighted to partner with Amman Capital Partners to provide further investment in the Group’s growth strategy. We have built a solid foundation for our business in the last decade. With strategic partnerships, now is the right time to extend our capabilities further and provide our customers with the insight they need to make informed decisions.”

Immensa provides a wide range of services, including in-depth country reports; market analyses and industry profiles; competitive intelligence; business-to-business offerings; forum hosting, and thought leadership. The news service is complemented by an integrated web offering that includes a searchable archive of over 400,000 records spanning over ten years.

It has built a reputation as one of the most reliable news, information, and analysis providers – particularly in the energy and water sectors. The Intelligence Unit at it is a multi-award winning team of analysts led by Dr. Tom Whitehead that analyzes geography, politics, and demographics; coverage of market size and forecast opportunities; and ongoing support for internal and media engagements for public-facing clients.
