Tom Keane is a business and technology professional with over 20 years of experience in the high-tech industry. As Senior Director of Product Marketing for Microsoft’s Cloud Platform, he is responsible for enabling the adoption of Azure and Office 365 services to customers and partners.
In his last role at Cisco, he led marketing for collaboration systems, including WebEx, which grew from $120 million to over $1 billion before its acquisition by Cisco in 2009. Before Cisco, Tom Keane served as Vice President of Marketing at BEA Systems/Oracle Applications Services Division.
Tom Keane was responsible for all strategic marketing planning and execution across product lines. He also led his own venture-backed startup, Synthasite, a global services company focused on enterprise IT solutions that BEA acquired in 2005.
Tom is revered throughout the industry as a thought leader and has been published in leading industry sites. These sites such as TechTarget and IT Jungle and by national publications including Network Computing and Information Week. Tom Keane is an international speaker at top industry conferences, including TechEd, The Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference, The International Cloud Computing Conference (ICCC), Application Development World, and The Open Group Cloud Standards Group (CSA WG).
Tom is actively involved in the storage community and has spoken at Storage Networking World for over 12 years. Here, he most recently presented “Cloud – The Next Big Thing. Microsoft Azure and the Microsoft Cloud are changing how businesses do IT, moving away from isolated silo-based approaches to delivering IT as a service and enabling a dynamic environment that allows businesses to adapt and grow without the rigid infrastructure restraints of the past.
