Aspire to Inspire

Born in 1980, Leopoldo Alejandro Betancourt Lopez has several success stories to tell. The Venezuelan businessman and investor has started or funded a number of successful businesses, including Auro Travel and Hawkers. He attended college in the U.S. and has a degree in Economics and International Trade.

He served on several positions before venturing out on his own, including the Director of Trade for Latin America. During these early years of his career, he managed to grow the energy sector in Venezuela and expanded nuclear power plants in the country.

He also brought new systems to the banking sector and made internet more accessible in the country. His experience in the energy sector allowed him to make several investments later in his career.

Leopoldo Alejandro Betancourt Lopez is always looking for innovative and disruptive ideas to help him grow his businesses. He notes that the success of his businesses can be attributed to the use of social media marketing. When he took over the management of Hawkers after a huge investment, he took the business social media presence seriously and made investments to ensure that they would reach out to millions of customers.

The business started with a budget of $300 where a group of young Spanish boys imported 27 affordable, but high-quality sunglasses from the U.S. They sold the sunglasses online and their orders kept growing. When Leopoldo Alejandro Betancourt Lopez came in, he provided the needed funding and manufacturing options. He then used his marketing skills to grow the business to more than $56 million a year in sales.

His ride-sharing service, Auro Travel, has also enjoyed so much popularity in social media. He founded the service in 2017 to work with other services, such as Uber and Lyft. Leopoldo Alejandro Betancourt Lopez is the leader of O’Hara Administration and an investor in so many companies.
