The International School Ho Chi Minh City (ISHCMC) is an American Academy in Vietnam. It is a private day and boarding school for children aged eleven to eighteen. Graduating students attend ivy league schools.
Their curriculum includes English language and literature classes as well as computer science and math courses while incorporating other subjects like art and music. They have professional teachers who are certified and experienced in their given subject.
The school has a state of the art computer system, lab and science facilities. They have an extensive program for the performing arts. They also have a foreign exchange program where students can go to other schools for the semester, half term, or year. In addition, they have a student leadership program where college students return to the school to help as teaching assistants and provide a positive role for the younger students.
The International School Ho Chi Minh City (ISHCMC) was established in 1993 by parents and educators who wished to create an American-style education in Vietnam. They mainly consisted of expatriate families who made up the school’s first student body. ISHCMC was one of the first private American-style international schools opened in Vietnam.
The school also offers boarding opportunities for students that live further away in the country. This ensures that students get enough sleep and parents get to know their children more. The safe and secure environment provides opportunities for students to make new friends and develop their social skills. Students that board at the school have their own bedroom, bathroom, and a lot of privacy.
They also focus on a student’s mental and emotional health. This is accomplished through various programs, such as counseling and therapy. The school also offers enrichment programs such as dance, gymnastics, music, and art for students. This ensures they become good people with good morals.
